About Us

FARNSWORTH STREET

is inspired by my family’s first home in the United States after immigrating from the Philippines.

My grandparents, their eight kids, and eventually most of their grandkids all lived together in a small single-family home. It was crowded, imperfect, and deeply communal. Everyone relied on each other to grow. Some of my fondest memories are of my Papang offering us mandarins he grew just outside the porch.

That home has always symbolized community and growth to me. A reminder that progress doesn’t happen in isolation, and that care, intention, and shared effort matter.

Farnsworth Street was built from that same belief.

It's also why I work with restaurants, hospitality businesses, and local retail brands. They’re the kinds of places that are, at their best, a gathering point for their community. The neighborhood spot people return to. The boutique where the owner knows your name. These businesses don't just sell things. They hold space for people. And that's worth protecting.

Hi there, I’m Leana.

I’ve spent the last decade exploring what brings people together and what helps communities last. I approach marketing as an opportunity to create spaces people feel connected to, not just visible.

My background in Organizational Studies, Sociology, and Communications was earned over eight years and from attending three different schools. That path taught me how systems work, how people make decisions, and how easily things become misaligned when clarity is missing.

I’m forever inspired by my roots in the Bay Area, CA, surrounded by such diverse communities and perspectives. It’s also where I learned to value listening, nuance, and long term thinking over quick answers.

Before starting Farnsworth Street, I worked with a marketing agency in Spain focused on hospitality and restaurant brands. That experience shaped how I think about community marketing — watching brands that leaned into their regulars and their neighborhood story consistently outperform the ones chasing trends and virality. I came back to the states knowing that's the kind of work I wanted to do, and the kind of clients I wanted to do it with.

I’m a student for life. I love learning, and I’m drawn to work that asks better questions instead of rushing toward easy solutions.

INTENTION

COMMUNITY

CULTURE

How This Shows Up in My Work

Marketing often struggles not because people aren’t trying hard enough, but because the direction underneath isn’t clear.

That’s why Farnsworth Street leads with clarity. Before content, before platforms, before execution. When there’s shared understanding around what a brand is building and who it’s for, strategy becomes more intentional and growth becomes more sustainable.

I don't believe in one-size-fits-all marketing or chasing trends for the sake of momentum. I believe that the restaurants, boutiques, and hospitality brands that last are the ones that invest in their community — not just their content calendar. My work is built around that conviction. And I only work with brands who share it.

What Farnsworth Street Means to Me

Farnsworth Street is how I keep my family and roots close to me.

It’s a reminder that growth is strongest when it’s supported, that clarity creates stability, and that community deserves to be protected as things expand.

That belief shapes how I work, who I work with, and how I show up as a partner.
